It depends on what kind of pearl effect you want, you need to have several coats of your base red so you dont need so much pearlizer. What I did was mixed half a gallon of blue and 6 cans of...
Great job love the tails
There is a safe way to open a gallon container with it having alot of pressure. I custom mixed my blue with pearlizer and had half the gallon container full of pearlizer. After me opening it the...
^+1
great job I cant wait to see this cream color
thank you everyone, calipers are still good, dipped for about two weeks with very very hard driving. To give you an idea I have gone through 4 sets of brake pads and I am at 40,000 miles of the car...
I agree on more pics being able to be used, I had a very difficult time trying to pic one photo that showed the true pearl blue since it changes at different angles. I also agree locking the threads...
this hasnt been bumped in a while so I will go ahead and do it lol, come show off your dips and have some great conversations with other dippers
^I like this pic alot better really shows the color
very nice, magnums are sick as hell
Your prices are exactly the same as mine, they are good prices to start out with and get people into wanting their cars dipped. Once you have a good amount of dips then raise your prices.
thank you, the original color was silver
Finally finished the whole vehicle. I have tons of different custom mixes on all the different parts.
whole car- sunset blue pearl
-1:1 mix- navy blue: pearlizer
-2 bottles of blue tint
-2 tsp...
I know this all to well, I have taped up my windows all the way across the doors several times and then realize the dip is inside the dang car lol. So I have learned to take scissors down the middle...
Yeah I sprayed my wheels with my gun, just keep it on a lower setting so you don't get runs while trying to get in the tight areas
Best thing to do is wash them like the day before dipping if possible then the day of dipping wipe the wheel down with alcohol, no need for any special cleaning just make sure to scrub really good...
How are you prepping, if you are washing them with water you may have some draining our sitting there on the lip or it may be some dirt left there, are you dipping wheels on or off the car
It is a huge pita to peel honeycomb grilles that's why I removed my top and bottom one
From what I can tell from the pics you should be able to spray all of the areas and peel when you are done you may need to run a sharp instrument to cut the dip if there isn't a break, don't worry...
Lol what your seeing is the navy blue coming out in the shade I made this by adding pearlizer to navy blue if you did my mix with regular blue you wouldn't have that effect in the shade
This is my blue with pearlizer in it

oooo! very nice, love all the mixes you are doing
you should do pearl grey on just the spokes and maybe do the chrome trim too
