    Engine Cover

    Hi All,

    Decided to dip engine cover, had some left over so thought why not. Could have done with an extra coat but ran out :/

    Also did the coolant cap and washer cap

    What are the Temp ratings on PD? just curious

    Don't know exactly, but its good enough to paint calipers with!

    there is a video of someone taking a blowtorch to dip on youtube.........that should give you an idea of temperature rating

    Wasn't aware of that. I meant to ask though. Sooooo... with that knowledge I have to ask. Anybody dipping exhaust tips? I've never noticed any, but that could be coolio!

    Yea but that is a blow torch on the outside, trying to apply heat.

    When the heat is coming from under the plasti dip, its going to act like a giant insulator.

    Fair point... My dip has no issue on the cover as far as temp.

    Also, not had any increase in temp in any of my gauges to indicate the temp is getting higher. That was even with 42+c weather

    Might keep an extra eye on it though.

    FYI all.. Engine cover has been dipped all this time, still looks the same as the day dipped and no increase in eng temp etc and that's on a worked 6.0 V8 that gets driven well.
