    rust and dip?

So I sprayed my wheels a couple weeks ago and one had a couple specs of rust on it. The dip ran right off the spec and would not cover it no matter how thick i put it on. Does dip on a patch of rust on a car act the same?

It acts like most paint. It needs a surface to attach too. It doesn't like the non-clean/smooth surface of the rust. Some paint prep and primer might help the situation but make sure its high heat since its on your wheels. Good luck.

He right. I made sure all the rust was at the very least sanded before I dipped any thing on my car. Smooth surfaces, smooth.
