SOOOOOOOOO I do not have the trailer yet, but I did buy it. And now have to wait on the Govt for the paper work and crap. I wanted to repaint it, but maybe, just maybe, dip it? That way it keeps it original, and I can just peel the dip off if I ever want to change it. But I do not have a sprayer, nor the money for a kit.
Hell the whole trailer only cost 231.00. Final total was 273 after tax, and the auction premium.
It is a 3/4 TON trailer, with HMMWV (Humvee) tires. It sits as high as the hummers and it made to tow behind them, and can use the same tires as the hummers as a spare. It should also have run flat tubes.
To give you an IDEA of the size of these trailers, here is one that is behind a FORD EXPLORER.
(NOT MY PICS)
So as you can see, this is not a small ass trailer. But for 231.00 It is a steal. They can be found on govliquidation.com and you can buy a lot of military surplus there, from ammo cans, ice coolers, pressure washers, to full 5-ton cargo trucks, tractors, and forklifts.
Anyway, mine will be pulled behind my truck, a 2005 Ford Expedition.

Here is the ACTUAL trailer I won:
I was wanting to paint it a flat/matte black, and then stencile on all the writing that is on the trailer in gun metal gray or maybe OD green. That way it will have a modern look to it, but keep its military herritage in a way.
What does everyone think? I also want to line the bed with a spray on bed liner
