Step 1: Surface Preparation
• Surface must be clean and free of dirt, grease, silicone, and contaminants
• Scuff entire surface thoroughly using Red Scuff Pad until the surface is uniformly dull and all shine is gone
• If the surface remains glossy and fails to generate powder as you scuff - the surface is too hard for the red pad. A more aggressive sand paper may be required for proper mechanical adhesion.
• Remove sanding dust with clean compressed air or clean microfiber towel
• Wipe entire surface thoroughly using the isopropyl alcohol or solvent based degreaser
• Allow surface to fully dry before spraying
Important: The surface must appear completely dull. Any glossy areas may lead to adhesion failure - check entire surface area carefully before proceeding.
Step 2: Activate The True 2K System
Luna One 2.0 features an internal hardener chamber.
• Remove activation ring from bottom of can
• Insert ring into bottom pin
• Pull outward firmly until pin stops
• Twist 360° two full rotations to fully release the internal hardener
• Shake vigorously for 60 seconds
Once activated, product must be used within 24 hours.
Step 3: Spraying
• Spray distance: 5–6 inches from surface
• Use steady passes with 50/50 overlap
• Apply:
- Light Tack Coat (25% coverage)
- Medium Coat (75% coverage)
- Final Wet Coat (Full complete coverage, surface should look uniformly wet)
Avoid heavy pooling, especially in corners or concave areas. Allow product to level naturally.
Flash Time Between Coats
Based on ambient temperature:
• 55°F – 75°F | 4 minutes between coats
• 75°F+ | 3 minutes between coats
